Net MeteringNet metering or energy offset is the program that constitutes the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of a property which can reduce or even eliminate energy costs. More specifically, the energy produced by the panels is offset against that which has been consumed, thus reducing energy costs for the user.

Virtual Net Metering

Virtual net metering is a special application of energy netting, with the main difference that the photovoltaic power generation station and the self-producer's consumption facilities may be located in different areas (areas) but in the same regional unit. Virtual energy netting can be applied by specific categories of citizens or legal entities. Specifically, the possibility is given to self-producers who are farmers or legal entities of public/private law that pursue public benefit or other public interest purposes of general or local scope (e.g. School complexes).
